What's happening in Riccarton, and where to find it

Rārākau: Riccarton Centre is open

This includes the City Council’s customer services desk and booking use. Measures to protect visitors and users of the centre are in place to meet physical distancing and contact tracing requirements.

Key points for centre visits/usage:

· Two-metre distancing must be maintained from others, including staff
· You will need to sign in either using the Traceable app or a sign-in sheet
· Use hand sanitiser on entry
· If you feel unwell, please stay at home
· A limit of 100 people is in place for the main hall
· Entry is via the front entrance only
· You may need to wait to enter the building if the customer services counter is busy

The Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board will recommence meeting at the centre on 2nd June. There will be some restrictions to the number of people able to be present in the public gallery.

Mobile Library Open Again

The Christchurch Mobile Library unit is operating again after Covid-19 closure.It comes to the Rārākau Riccarton Centre carpark at 199 Clarence St each Wednesday from 12:15-12:45pm. Anyone who has a library card can use this service, and if you don’t have a card you can come along and join up on the spot.
