Riccarton Road is to get a reprieve from work from now till after Christmas.

Reports Councillor Vicki Buck:

"Just for all of you who are wondering what’s happening on Riccarton Road ...The contractors working there on the first stage will be gone at the end of this week to allow for Christmas trading and Christmas parade. They do need to come back in about the third week of January and will be there til the end of March 2018 likely to finish off the work .

"The pipes under there are really old and well past their use-by date and are well overdue for replacement."
